Starting Monday, crews will be installing a duct bank [a structure which gathers together and encases telecommunications cables] across Roosevelt Drive.

work dates*: Monday, July 17 and Tuesday, July 18
work hours: 7am-7pm

what you need to know:

On Monday, crews will be working on the southwest corner of Yonge and Roosevelt.

The left- and right-turn lane onto Roosevelt from Yonge will be closed.
Traffic will be able to access Yonge from Roosevelt, but will be unable to access Roosevelt from Yonge.
Crews will then backfill and plate the work area.
Please follow posted detour signs that will guide motorists around the work zone.

On Tuesday, crews will be working on the northwest corner of Yonge and Roosevelt.

Traffic will have access to Roosevelt from Yonge; however traffic on Roosevelt will not be able to access Yonge.
Crews will backfill and pave the entire work area.
Please follow posted detour signs that will guide motorists around the work zone.

The sidewalk on the west side of Yonge, will be closed for the duration of work; however the sidewalk on the east side will remain open. Directional signage will be onsite to guide pedestrians.
Traffic control staff will be onsite.
Due to the nature of this work, at times, there will be construction-related noise and dust from equipment and trucks.

*Please note: As with all construction projects, some work may be re-scheduled due to weather. We’ll provide advanced notice when possible.
