Hello,
Over the past few weeks, crews have been busy removing and paving median strips in the Bathurst Street and Highway 7 area. Starting Monday, crews will begin constructing new medians and curbs along Highway 7 between Hunter's Point Drive and the Bathurst St. underpass. This work will require eastbound and westbound 24-hour lane closures. Please see below for further details.
work dates*: Monday, May 8 to Friday, July 28
work hours*: 7am–5pm, with 24-hour lane closures in effect
what you need to know:
- Crews will be constructing new medians and curbs along the Bathurst-Highway 7 connector road and on Highway 7 from just west of the connector road to Hunter's Point Dr.
- To accommodate this work, the westbound median lane and the eastbound curb lane will be closed for 24-hours/day on Highway 7 between Hunter's Point to the Bathurst underpass.
- There will be construction-related noise and vibration from equipment and trucks during this activity.
- Now that construction is underway in this area, black-and-white speed limit signs will be posted to reduce the speed limit to 60km/h.
- Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
- Note that the next phase of work will be on Highway 7 between Hunter's Point to the Yonge St. connector road, and along the Yonge St. connector road. More details to follow.
