Safty during rapidway construction is crucial

In addition to existing legislation and local bylaws, our contractors receive certification from industry associations, and have their own safety and quality assurance processes, including:

  • Daily safety meetings and inspections before work starts, which includes a list of potential hazards and safety measures.
  • Traffic Control Plans and Traffic Protection Plans — such as using signs and barrier placement to protect workers, motorists, pedestrians and others in the area.
  • Pedestrian Control Plans to protect and direct pedestrians when the work impacts sidewalks, crosswalks and bus stops.
