Viva Rapid Transit Construction Underway

It is estimated that 11,000 jobs will be created with the construction of this $1.4-billion York Viva Rapidway, funded by the province.

York Region Viva rapid transit fleet expanding

Today, York Regional Council approved the purchase of five additional Viva 60-foot articulated vehicles from the award winning Belgian bus manufacturer Van Hool.

The Pink Line began operating today, providing a new week-day peak period service along Yonge Street and Highway 7 from Finch Station to Unionville Station. It will run from 5:45 a.m. to 9:10 a.m.
