“It’s definitely more than just a flower shop – it’s called Flowers N Things for a reason!” says Dela Fotoohi of the store she manages with brother-in-law Kevin Sedighi.

Featuring a wide variety of fresh flowers and plants, along with an extensive selection of gifts, plush items and home and wedding décor, Flowers N Things caters to the many occasions of life.

But it’s their passion and dedication to customer service that Dela and Kevin believe sets their business apart. Sharing in the special moments of so many lives, Dela, Kevin and their staff go the extra mile to make customers’ gifts and arrangements perfect. “We have to take care of our customers…that’s the most important part of our business,” says Kevin.

The shop recently moved to a new location at 763 Davis Drive, and now boasts a larger, sunnier space, accommodating an even better selection of flowers – and things! Their larger space also opens up the opportunity for Dela and Kevin to expand their workshop offerings beyond the winter holiday season workshops currently available

The family-run business opened in Newmarket eight years ago, and the pair has witnessed Newmarket’s growth firsthand. With its big city benefits and small town warmth, Dela and Kevin are proud to be a part of the community and look forward to Newmarket’s upcoming transformation, believing that the development will lift and beautify the town.

In the mean time, Dela and Kevin will continue to share the beauty of flowers, smiles and great service with everyone who stops by Flowers N Things.

In Newmarket, the future of transit has arrived with the opening of the Viva yellow line on the Davis Drive rapidway. Riders can now enjoy a quick comfortable journey to one of three vivastations at Longford, Main and Southlake, or continue to the Highway 404 park and ride with curbside stops at Huron Heights and Leslie.

With fast, reliable transit and updated utilities in place, Newmarket is prepared for the growth already happening. More travel choices and attractive, tree-lined streets will bring more places to live and work in Newmarket’s downtown. All this goes a long way to improving transit in York Region and all of you are a big part of that. Thank you!
