In September 2007, Human Resources professional Lindsay Regina made it easier for Newmarket employers and potential employees to connect with each other, by opening York Region’s first Express Employment Professionals location.

As part of a global network of over 600 locally owned and operated franchises, Lindsay believes passionately in what she does - “we find good people for good companies and find good jobs for great people.”

And her many repeat clients obviously appreciate the personal touch Lindsay provides. For her, doing business that way suits her, and is a good fit for this community: “Even though York Region is a huge, massive area, it still gives you that smaller town feel…it is more personal here than it is in a larger market.”  

As a business person, Lindsay spends a lot of time driving around Newmarket, and she is very supportive of the changes coming to Davis Drive. “I think it is going to be amazing. I can’t wait to see Davis Drive once the vivaNext rapidways have been built and the new buildings go up. I know it’s going to be a while and will probably feel like forever, but it will look very urban and really nice when completed. I think it’s going to put Newmarket further on the map.”

She also knows how helpful it will be for people living in Newmarket, to have access to a rapid-transit network. “It’s going to make it so much easier for my people to get work. That’s what excites me about it as well.” By making their commute easier, Lindsay believes that rapid transit will make her clients’ lives better.

And from her business perspective, that’s going to be good for both employees and employers. As Lindsay says …”I’m looking forward to seeing it. I think it was time for it.”
