retaining wall construction on Yonge south of William Roe

Starting Tuesday, crews will begin constructing a retaining wall on the east side of Yonge Street, just north of Brandy Lane Way, to provide stability between two areas of land at different heights, with the wall supporting the higher level of ground. Please see below for more details:

work dates*: Tuesday, March 27, for approximately one week
work hours*: 7am-7pm

what you need to know

  • To accommodate this work, there will be a northbound curb lane closure during off-peak hours [approximately 7:30am-3:30pm].
  • At times, sidewalks around the work zone will be temporarily closed. Traffic control personnel will be onsite to guide pedestrians around the work zone.
  • There will be noise, dust, and intermittent vibrations associated with this work.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
