temporary pole removal on Yonge in Newmarket

Crews will be removing the temporary utility poles on the east side of Yonge Street from Sawmill Valley Drive/Savage Road to Eagle Street.

work hours: 7am–7pm

  • There will be short duration curb lane closures around the work areas as crews remove each temporary pole.
  • Crews will be starting at Savage/Sawmill Valley and working their way north to Eagle.
  • Wherever possible, sidewalks and bus stops will remain open. If a sidewalk or bus stop is closed, directional signs will guide pedestrians to the nearest open sidewalk/bus stop.
  • There will be construction-related noise and dust from equipment and trucks.

*Please note: As with all construction projects, some work may be re-scheduled due to weather. We’ll provide advanced notice when possible.
