traffic signal activation at Yonge and Clearmeadow/William Roe intersection

Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 8, crews will be activating the temporary traffic signal at the Yonge Street and Clearmeadow Boulevard/William Roe Boulevard intersection. Temporary disruptions to the traffic lights will be required. Please see below for further details.

work hours: 9am-3pm

  • During off-peak hours, the traffic lights will be out of service in all directions at the intersection of Yonge and Clearmeadow/William Roe. Expect to see the lights out or flashing.
  • There will be several intermittent lane closures.
  • Paid duty police officers will be on site to direct traffic until the traffic signals are restored.
  • Vehicle access to Yonge and Clearmeadow/William Roe will be maintained at all times.
  • The sidewalks around the work areas may be temporarily closed at times. Personnel will be on site to guide pedestrians around the work zone as necessary.
  • Once activated, crews will return at a later date to remove the old traffic poles.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.

*Please note: As with all construction projects, some work may be re-scheduled due to weather. We’ll provide advanced notice when possible.
