traffic signal work at Yonge Street and Gladman Avenue

Starting tomorrow, crews will be relocating traffic control equipment at the northeast corner of Yonge and Gladman.

work dates*: Thursday, July 7 to Monday, July 11
work hours*: 7am – 7pm

  • On Thursday and Friday, there will be short duration curb lane closures on the northeast corner as crews deliver and install a temporary wooden pole.
  • Vehicle access to Yonge and Gladman will be maintained at all times.
  • The sidewalks and crosswalks at the intersection will remain open. Personnel will be on site to guide pedestrians around the work zone if necessary.
  • On Monday, during off-peak times, the traffic lights will be out of service in all directions at the intersection of Yonge and Gladman for approximately 3 hours. Expect to see the lights out or flashing.
  • Paid duty police officers will be on site to direct traffic until the traffic signal are restored and personnel will be on site to guide pedestrians around the work zone if necessary.

* Please note: As with all construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather. We’ll provide advance notice whenever possible.
