Yonge telecommunications work continues south of Eagle

An important step in building the Yonge Street rapidway is relocating telecommunications. On Monday, crews will be continuing telecommunications work, including direct drilling and trenching, from Eagle Street to south of Sawmill Valley Drive on the west side of Yonge Street. work dates*: Monday, March 28 to early July
work hours*: 7am–7pm

what you need to know:

  • There will be temporary southbound curb lane closures around the work area.
  • Wherever possible, sidewalks will remain open. If a sidewalk is closed, directional signs will guide pedestrians to nearest open sidewalk.
  • Access will be maintained to properties in work areas; however, driveways may be reduced or temporarily disrupted. Advance notice will be provided wherever possible.
  • Traffic control staff and paid duty officers will be on site as required.
  • There will be construction-related noise and dust from equipment and trucks.
  • Some weekend work may be required.
