An important step in building the vivaNext Yonge Street rapidway is relocating telecommunications. Crews will begin moving underground telecommunications on the east side of Yonge from Savage Road to just north of Mulock Drive starting December 1. This work will progress in segments along the corridor. Please see details about the first segment below.

work dates*: Tuesday, December 1, 2015 – Friday, January 15, 2016
work hours*: 7am – 7pm

what you need to know

• There will be temporary northbound curb lane closures around the work area.
• Wherever possible, sidewalks will remain open. If a sidewalk is closed, please watch for signs.
• Driveways will be temporarily closed as work progresses north. Access to businesses will be maintained. Watch for signs and follow directions.
• Traffic control staff and paid duty officers will be on site as required.
• There will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.
• Some weekend work may be required.
