As part of the transformation of Yonge Street in Newmarket, we will be building a number of retaining walls along Yonge. Crews will begin building a retaining wall at 17255 Yonge Street, at the southeast corner of Yonge Street and Gladman Avenue starting Monday. Retaining walls are built to provide stability between two areas of land that sit at different heights. The retaining wall is used to hold the slope in place and support the higher level of ground.
work dates: Monday, October 26 for approximately three months*
