line painting on Yonge between Observatory – Weldrick in Richmond Hill

November 23, 2017

To accommodate utility installation, crews will be painting new traffic lines on Yonge Street between Observatory Lane and Weldrick Road.

work dates*: Friday, November 24
work hours: 9:30am-3:30pm

what you need to know

  • Crews will remove and then re-paint traffic lines on Yonge from Observatory to Weldrick.
    • To accommodate this work, traffic will be shifted west on Yonge.
    • Yonge will be reduced to one lane in each direction during off-peak hours [9:30am-3:30pm].
  • Traffic control staff and paid duty police officers will be onsite, as required.
  • There will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks, including grinding of pavement, as the existing traffic lines are removed.
  • Expect delays, and please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.

*Please note: As with all construction projects, some work may be re-scheduled due to weather. We’ll provide advance notice when possible. Watch twitter.com/vivanext for last-minute updates.
