work dates*: Monday, November 13, for approximately two weeks
work hours: 7pm – 7am, overnight

what you need to know

  • Overnight, traffic on Yonge and Major Mackenzie will be reduced to one lane in each direction around the work zones for the duration of this work. All lanes will re-open each morning.
  • Traffic control staff and paid duty police officers will be onsite.
  • Wherever possible, bus stops and sidewalks will remain open. If a sidewalk or bus stop is closed, directional signs will guide pedestrians to the nearest open sidewalk.
  • Access to businesses and properties near work areas will be maintained.
  • There will be construction-related noise and dust from equipment and trucks.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.

Next week, between 7am-7pm, crews will also be performing road restoration works between Harding Boulevard and Major Mackenzie. Please anticipate, at times, northbound or southbound curb lane closures in the work zone for the duration of this work.

*Please note: As with all construction projects, some work may be re-scheduled due to weather. We’ll provide advance notice when possible. Watch twitter.com/vivanext for last-minute updates.
