restoration work along Yonge Street in Richmond Hill

Utility crews will be performing restoration activities and connecting utilities along Yonge Street next week. Please see below for more information.

utility connections at Yonge and High Tech

Starting Monday, utility crews will be completing underground utility connections on the northeast corner of the Yonge and High Tech Road intersection.

work dates*: Monday, October 30 – Friday, November 3
work hours: 7am-7pm

what you need to know

  • To accommodate this work, the right turn lane onto Yonge from High Tech will be closed from 9:30am-7pm each day.
  • The north sidewalk on High Tech will be temporarily closed from Yonge to Red Maple Road for the duration of this work. Signage will be onsite to direct pedestrians to the nearest open sidewalk.
  • Traffic control staff and paid duty police officers will be onsite.
  • There will be construction-related noise and dust from equipment and trucks.

paving and restoration work at Yonge and Carrville/16th

Starting Tuesday, utility crews will also be completing restoration and paving work on the northwest corner of Yonge Street and Carrville Road.

work dates*: Tuesday, October 31 – Friday, November 3
work hours: 7am-7pm

what you need to know

  • To accommodate this work, the southbound curb lane on Yonge will be closed each day from 9:30am-3:30pm, just north of the Yonge and Carrville/16th intersection for the duration of work.
  • Westbound 16th will be reduced to one thru-lane just east and west of the Yonge and Carrville/16th intersection each day from 9:30am-3:30pm for the duration of work. The right and left turn lane onto Yonge will be maintained.
  • Traffic control staff and paid duty police officers will be onsite.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
