August 18, 2017

Hello,

Overnight on Sunday, crews will be removing old and painting new traffic lines on Yonge Street between May Avenue and Weldrick Road.

work dates*: Sunday, August 20
work hours: 7pm-7am, overnight

what you need to know

  • Crews will be working overnight Sunday, August 20, to remove and then re-paint traffic lines on Yonge from May to Weldrick.
  • Two southbound lanes of traffic on Yonge will be shifted west, from Weldrick to May.
  • To accommodate this work, Yonge will be reduced to one northbound and one southbound lane in the work zone.
  • Motorists and pedestrians are reminded to watch for traffic shifts and signs that will guide you along your way. Drive with care through construction zones and give yourself enough time to safely arrive at your destination.
  • Traffic control staff and paid duty police officers will be onsite.
  • There will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks, including grinding of pavement.

*Please note: As with all construction projects, some work may be re-scheduled due to weather. We’ll provide advance notice when possible. Watch twitter.com/vivanext for last-minute updates.
