utility work continues on Yonge in Richmond Hill

Hello,

Tomorrow, crews will be removing hydro poles and cables on Yonge Street in three locations between Elgin Mills Road and Bernard Avenue. This operation is part of ongoing utility work on Yonge in Richmond Hill. Please see below for further details.

work hours: 9am-1pm

what you need to know

  • Crews will be removing hydro poles and cables on Yonge in three locations; this work will take place during off-peak hours.
  • For everyone’s safety, Yonge will be closed in both directions for approximately 5 minutes in each of the three locations as crews remove the cables that span across Yonge.
  • Paid duty police officers will be onsite to direct traffic during this work.
  • The sidewalks around the work areas may be temporarily closed at times. Personnel will be on site to guide pedestrians around the work zone as necessary.
