traffic signal activation at Yonge and Bantry/Scott

Hello,

On Thursday, crews will be activating temporary traffic signals at the intersection of Yonge and Bantry Avenue/Scott Drive. Temporary disruptions to the traffic lights will be required. Please see below for further details.

what you need to know

On Thursday, the traffic lights will be out of service in all directions at the intersection of Yonge and Bantry/Scott from 9am-1pm. Expect to see the lights out or flashing during this time.
At times, Yonge will be reduced to one northbound and one southbound lane [9:30am-3:30pm] around the intersection as crews perform this work.
Paid duty police officers will be onsite to direct traffic until the traffic signals are restored.
Vehicle access to Yonge and Bantry/Scott will be maintained at all times.
Sidewalks around the intersections may be temporarily closed. Where sidewalks are closed directional signs will guide pedestrians to the nearest open sidewalk.
Once activated, crews will remove the old traffic poles.
Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
