utility manhole construction at Yonge and High Tech

June 20, 2017

Hello,

To prepare for the relocation of utilities and widening of Yonge Street, crews will be completing utility manhole work at the northeast corner of Yonge and High Tech Road.

work dates*: Wednesday, June 21, for approximately 2 weeks
work hours: 7am-7pm

what you need to know:

  • To accommodate utility manhole work on Yonge, the right turn lane from High Tech onto Yonge will be closed for the duration of the work.
  •  The northeast sidewalk on High Tech, from Yonge to Red Maple Road, will be closed for duration of the work. Directional signage will be onsite to guide pedestrians to the nearest open sidewalk.
  • There will be construction-related noise and dust from equipment and trucks.
  • Some weekend work will be required.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.

*Please note: As with all construction projects, some work may be re-scheduled due to weather. We’ll provide advanced notice when possible. Watch twitter.com/vivanext for last-minute updates.

Drivers and pedestrians are reminded to watch for traffic shifts and signs that will guide you along your way. As always, please contact us if you have any questions about the rapidway construction.
