median removals on Yonge at Nottingham/Devonsleigh

Starting Monday, crews will be removing median strips on Yonge Street in Richmond Hill.

work dates*: Monday, May 1, for approximately two weeks
work hours: 7am–7pm

Crews will be removing the median strip [the areas that separate opposing lanes of traffic] at the Yonge and Nottingham Drive/Devonsleigh Boulevard intersection.
This work will require one northbound and one southbound lane closure closest to the median strip during off-peak hours, as follows:

Medians will be removed, one at a time, moving from south to north.
Crews will then backfill, grade, pave and line paint the area traffic lines.

Traffic control staff and paid duty police officers will be on site as required.
There will be construction-related noise and dust from equipment and trucks.
Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
