overnight water main work and closures to Observatory and South Hill entrance in Richmond Hill

Water main crews will continue to work overnight next week [November 28-December 2] in various areas on Yonge Street, from just north of 16th Avenue/Carrville Road to Hopkins Street/Elmwood Avenue. As part of this work, there will be overnight closures to Observatory Lane and the South Hill Shopping Centre’s main entrance. Please read on for impacts and details of this work.

Observatory Lane overnight closure

work dates*: Monday, November 28
work hours*: Overnight [8pm-7am]

  • A small portion of Observatory Lane will be closed at Yonge as crews connect the water main.

South Hill Shopping Centre overnight entrance closure

work dates*: Tuesday, November 29
work times*: Overnight [8pm-7am]

  • The main entrance to South Hill Shopping Centre [9325 Yonge] will be closed overnight as crews connect the water main.
  • See our last construction bulletin for details on how to access the plaza when crews are working at the main entrance.

*Please note: As with other road construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other variables. We’ll provide advance notice whenever possible.
