gas main installation on Yonge–Trayborn to Canyon Hill

As gas main installation continues along Yonge, crews will be starting the next segment on the west side of Yonge from Trayborn Drive to just south of Canyon Hill Avenue. Please see below for details.

work dates*: Tuesday, August 23 for about three months
work hours*: 7am–7pm

what you need to know:

The eastbound right turn lane on Elgin Mills will be closed for the duration of work.
Temporary southbound curb lane closures will be required in work areas during off-peak hours.
Wherever possible, sidewalks will remain open. If a sidewalk is closed, directional signs will guide pedestrians to the nearest open sidewalk.
Bus stops may be temporarily relocated as work progresses. Please look for signs and follow directions.
There will be construction-related noise and dust from equipment and trucks.
Some weekend work may be required.

Please remember to reduce your speed through construction zones and be mindful of traffic shifts and signs that will help guide you along your way. And if you’re walking, please stay aware of your surroundings by avoiding distractions like electronic devices.
