traffic staging on Yonge between Carrville/16th – Weldrick

To accommodate utility installation, crews will be staging traffic along Yonge Street between Carrville Road/16th Avenue and Weldrick Road.

work dates*: Monday, November 27, for approximately three months
work hours: 7am-7pm

what you need to know:

To accommodate utility installation, crews will be staging northbound traffic on Yonge between Carrville/16th and Weldrick. Two northbound and two southbound lanes on Yonge will be maintained within the work zone.
Within the construction zone, some northbound curb lanes on Yonge will be temporarily closed for the duration of this work.
Dedicated left-turn lanes, from Yonge onto cross streets, will be maintained at each of the signalized intersections.
As sections of utility installation are completed, the northbound curb lanes on Yonge will re-open within the completed work zone.
Wherever possible, sidewalks will remain open. If a sidewalk is closed, directional signage will be onsite to guide pedestrians to the nearest open sidewalk.
Bus stops may be temporarily relocated as work progresses. Where bus stops are affected, directional signage will guide pedestrians to the nearest open bus stop.
Some weekend and overnight work may be required.
Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
