Elmwood road closure at Yonge for water main installation

Elmwood Avenue, at Yonge Street, will be closed between 7am on Wednesday, October 25, and 7pm on Thursday, October 26 to accommodate water main installation. There will be no thru traffic from Elmwood to Yonge for the duration of work.

work dates*: Wednesday, October 25 – Thursday, October 26
work hours: 7am – 7pm, road closure will stay in place 24/7

what you need to know:

Access will be maintained to businesses and properties near the work area, including Mariann Homes.
Detour signs will be in place to guide motorists and pedestrians around the closure.
Due to the nature of this work, at times there will be noise.

bus stops, sidewalks and lane impacts:

There will be no thru traffic from Elmwood to Yonge for the duration of this work.
The sidewalk on the east side of Yonge between Major Mackenzie Drive East and Harding Boulevard will be temporarily closed. Signage will be onsite to direct pedestrians to use the sidewalk on the west side of Yonge.
