Starting Tuesday, crews will be installing a duct bank [a structure which gathers together and encases telecommunications cables] on the west side of Yonge Street at Edgar Avenue.

work dates*: Tuesday, October 10 - Thursday, October 12
work hours: 7am – 7pm

what you need to know:

On Tuesday and Wednesday, crews will be working on the northwest corner of Yonge and Edgar, working south.

To accommodate this work, access to Edgar and Yonge will be limited each day.
Crews will backfill and plate the work area at the end of each day.
At times, there will be no access to Yonge or Edgar for up to 10 minutes.
Traffic control staff will be onsite for the duration of the work.
Please follow detour signs that will guide motorists around the work zone.

On Thursday, crews will pave Edgar, starting on the northwest corner, moving south.

To accommodate this work, access to Edgar and Yonge will be limited.
At times, there will be no access to Yonge or Edgar for up to 10 minutes.
Traffic control staff will be onsite for the duration of the work.
Please follow detour signs that will guide motorists around the work zone.

Sidewalks around each work zone will be temporarily closed during work hours. Directional signage will be onsite to guide pedestrians to the open sidewalks on the east side of Yonge.
Due to the nature of this work, there will be, at times, construction-related noise and dust from equipment and trucks.
