Schedules have changed for paving the Highway 7 and South Town Centre Boulevard area. Paving is planned on Town Centre Boulevard, South Town Centre, Clegg Road, Cedarland Drive, and Warden Avenue. Please see the updated dates and specific locations below.

Paving is highly weather-dependent, so the dates or times may change. Please see the information below about impacts and lane closures.

South Town Centre and Warden preparation work

Location: West side of the intersection at South Town Centre and Cedarland
Dates/Times: Overnight from 7pm Thursday, June 25 to approximately
1am Friday, June 26

Description:

• Crews will remove the existing temporary asphalt, and apply a base layer of pavement at the intersection of Cedarland and South Town Centre – traffic will continue in each direction, with southbound traffic detoured into the rapidway at the Clegg intersection.
• Paid duty police officers will be on site to help direct traffic at the intersection.
• Sidewalks and crosswalks will remain open, and Viva buses will continue to travel this section of rapidway during regular operating hours.

Location: Southbound Warden, between Cedarland and Enterprise Boulevard
Dates/Times: Friday, June 26, approximately 1am to 5am

Description:

• Crews will be preparing the southbound curb lane and middle lane on Warden for final paving.
• The southbound curb lane and middle lane will be temporarily closed.
• Sidewalks will remain open.

Location: Town Centre/South Town Centre, Cedarland and Clegg
Dates/Times: Overnight from 7pm Friday, June 26 to 7am Saturday, June 27

Description:

Friday, 7pm to approximately midnight [see map, below left], crews will apply a top layer of pavement to the following locations:

• South Town Centre, from Highway 7 to south of Cedarland
  - South Town Centre traffic will be shifted to the east side of the road with one lane open in each direction
• Cedarland, from South Town Centre to Warden
  - Cedarland will be closed to eastbound and westbound traffic.
• Clegg, on the west side of the South Town Centre intersection
  - Clegg will be closed to all traffic on the west side of the intersection – access will be maintained to driveways on Clegg.
• Warden, from Cedarland to Enterprise Boulevard
  - The southbound curb lane will be temporarily closed.

Saturday, midnight to 7am [see map, below right], crews will apply a top layer of pavement to the following locations:

• South Town Centre, from Highway 7 to south of Cedarland
  - South Town Centre will be closed to southbound and northbound traffic.
• Clegg, on the east side of the South Town Centre intersection
  - Starting at approximately 1am, Clegg will be closed to all traffic on the east side of the intersection – access will be maintained to driveways on Clegg.
• Town Centre Boulevard, south of Cox Boulevard to Highway 7
  - Starting at approximately 4am, Town Centre will be closed to northbound and southbound traffic.
• Cedarland, from South Town Centre to Warden Avenue
  - Cedarland will be closed to eastbound and westbound traffic.

Drivers should follow directional signs and detours as needed. Sidewalks and crosswalks will remain open, and Viva buses will continue to travel these sections of rapidway during regular operating hours.
