construction work on highway 7 east, aug. 9-15

The following lane closures and construction work is scheduled to take place next week on Highway 7 at the intersections indicated below. There are some detours in effect, please look for signage. Pedestrians please obey detour signs for safety.

Reminder – paving this weekend:

  • Intersection paving continues this weekend at Highway 7 and Town Centre Boulevard.
  • Highway 7 is reduced to one lane in each direction from Rodick Road to Courtyard Lane. No left turns at Rodick. Follow detours and expect heavy traffic.Click here for more details.

lane closures from saddlecreek drive to leslie street:

  • Eastbound and westbound curb lanes closed intermittently until August 25 from 9:30am–5pm.

lane closures from highway 404 to warden avenue:

  • Multiple lane closures along Highway 7, until September 8. Please note some lane closures may be from 7am–5pm. Expect heavy traffic in this area.

In addition to highway 7 lane closures, please note the following north/south lane closures:

  • East Valhalla Drive: Southbound curb lane closed 9:30am–5pm until August 15.
  • Frontenac Drive: Northbound traffic reduced to one lane north of Highway 7, until August 15.
  • Woodbine Avenue:
    • Northbound and eastbound curb lanes closed 9:30am–3:30pm, until August 15.
    • On Woodbine north of Highway 7 only, southbound and westbound curb lanes closed continuously, north of Highway 7, until August 15.
  • Lunar Crescent: Alternating northbound and southbound curb lane closures until August 15.
  • Rodick Road:
    • Northbound and southbound curb lanes closed, until September 8.
    • Sidewalks on north and south sides of Highway 7 between Rodick Road and Town Centre Boulevard are closed.
  • South Town Centre Boulevard / Clegg Road: South Town Centre down to one lane in each direction from south of Cedarland Drive to Highway 7; Clegg Road curb lane closed east and westbound for intersection work, long term closure, from 7am–5pm.
