paving work on highway 7 east: jul. 4-7

The following paving work is scheduled to take place this weekend on Highway 7 at the areas indicated below. This work is weather dependent and there will be noise and traffic impacts. Please follow detour signs and give yourself enough time to get to your destination or plan alternate routes.

rodick road intersection – south side

Work will start at 7pm on Friday, July 4 and progress continuously until 6am on Monday, July 7. Please be advised of the following impacts:

  • Highway 7 will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
  • There will be no access to Rodick Road on the south side from Highway 7.
  • Rodick Road intersection will be closed to north and southbound through traffic.
  • Traffic lights at Rodick Road and Highway 7 intersection will not be operational. Police officers will be on site to direct traffic.
  • No left turns permitted at Rodick.
  • There will also be police officers at Highway 7 and Town Centre Boulevard directing traffic.
  • Right turns from Highway 7 westbound to Rodick Road northbound and from Rodick Road southbound onto Highway 7 westbound will be permitted.
  • Follow detour signs to access businesses on Rodick Road south of Highway 7.
  • Expect significant traffic delays.
