tree protection fencing installed on Highway 7 West

June 14, 2017

Hello,

For every vivaNext project, we look to protect healthy, mature trees located near the construction right-of-way with special fencing. Starting this week, crews are installing protective tree fencing around these trees on Highway 7 West from Bruce Street to Weston Road. Please see below for more details.

work dates*: Tuesday, June 13 to Friday, June 30
work hours*: 9am–4pm

  • Sidewalks and bus stops will remain open wherever possible. If a sidewalk or bus stop is temporarily closed, directional signs will guide pedestrians to the nearest open sidewalk or bus stop.
  • Read more about how vivaNext projects protect trees during construction on the blog, Protecting our trees to keep York Region green.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.

*Please note: As with other road construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other variables. We are committed to providing advance notice whenever possible. Watch twitter.com/vivanext for last-minute updates.

We understand that construction can be disruptive and we thank you in advance for your patience during this time. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
