Welcome to your new rapidway! As we bring rapid transit in dedicated bus lanes along Highway 7 West, from Bruce Street to Edgeley Boulevard, we are growing right along with Woodbridge in the City of Vaughan.

what you need to know:

  • Riders can now board Viva in the centre lane rapidway at any of the new vivastations: Wigwoss-Helen, Pine Valley Drive, Ansley Grove Road, Weston Road and Commerce Street.
  • This new segment of rapidway connects to the rapidway on Highway 7 that opened in 2017, the TTC Line 1 subway, and local YRT routes at the recently opened SmartCentres Place Bus Terminal in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre.
  • Dedicated bus lanes, five new vivastations, tree-lined sidewalks, raised bike lanes, and a new multi-use path on Highway 7 over Highway 400 for pedestrians and cyclists bringing convenience and beauty to the area.
  • Motorists should be aware that the red "BUS ONLY" lanes are rapidway lanes intended only for Viva buses and emergency vehicles – an added benefit that the rapidways bring to each community – saving valuable time when it's truly needed.
  • When getting to and from everywhere is this easy, it attracts people to shop, dine, work and live in the area.
  • During the first few days of service in the rapidway lanes, YRT and vivaNext staff will be at the vivastation platforms to assist customers and answer questions.

Come and take a ride on the new rapidway or check out the beautiful sidewalks and multi-use path! If you have any questions, please take a look at the Frequently Asked Questions or feel free to contact me.
