Beginning Monday, crews will be installing hydro poles on Highway 7 West between Edgeley Boulevard/Interchange Way and the Highway 400 bridge. Also, crews will be installing the remaining roof panels on the north side of VMC Station on Saturday. Please see below for further details.
hydro pole installations:
work hours*: 9am–3:30pm
- Starting Monday, Dec. 18 to Friday, Dec 22 crews will be installing 10 hydro poles on the north side of Highway 7 between Edgeley and the Highway 400 bridge, and three stub poles on the south side of Highway 7.
- Additional work required once poles are installed.

- To accommodate this work, there will be short curb-lane closures 10 to 15 minutes for each pole installation. These short curb lane closures will happen in westbound lanes first and then eastbound lanes afterwards.
VMC roof panel installations:
work hours*: 7am–5pm
- As crews install the remaining roof panels on VMC Station, the lane beside the station, westbound Highway 7, will be closed to accommodate this work
- Sidewalks will remain open wherever possible. If a sidewalk is closed, directional signs will be onsite to help guide pedestrians.
- Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
