what you need to know:

  • Crews will be removing medians, grading and then paving the surfaces around three intersections on Highway 7 West .
  • This work will require short-term closures of the eastbound and westbound centre lanes and left turn lanes on Highway 7 West around the work areas.
  • At times, lanes in all directions at one of the three intersections may require closure for a short period of time. Traffic control staff and paid duty police officers will be on site to direct traffic as required.
  • Sidewalks and bus stops will remain open where possible. If a sidewalk or bus stop is closed, directional signs will guide pedestrians to the nearest open bus stop or sidewalk.
  • There will be construction-related noise and dust from equipment and trucks during this activity.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.

*Please note: As with other road construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other variables. We are committed to providing advance notice whenever possible. Check twitter.com/vivanext for last-minute updates.

We understand that construction can be disruptive and we thank you in advance for your patience during this time. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
