As part of the Highway 7 West rapidway project, crews will be removing medians in several
locations between Bruce Street and Edgeley Boulevard until the end of June. Please see below
for further details.
work dates*: Monday, May 8 to Friday, June 30, 2017
work hours*: 7am-5pm from Bruce St. to Weston Rd., and 7am-3:30pm from
Weston Rd. to Edgeley Blvd.
- Crews will be removing medians, grading and then paving the surfaces in several locations
between Bruce and Edgeley.
- This work will require short-term closures of the eastbound and westbound centre lanes
and left turn lanes on Highway 7 West around the work areas. The lane closure hours are:
- Weston to Bruce, 7am to 5pm
- Weston to Edgeley (westbound) 7am to 3:30pm and (eastbound) 9:30am to 3:30pm.
- Sidewalks and bus stops will remain open where possible. If a sidewalk or bus stop is closed,
directional signs will guide pedestrians to the nearest open bus stop or sidewalk.
- There will be construction-related noise and dust from equipment and trucks during this
activity.
- Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your
speed through construction zones.
*Please note: As with other road construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other variables. We are committed to providing advance notice whenever possible.
We understand that construction can be disruptive and we thank you in advance for your patience during this time. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
