Crews will be activating the new traffic signals at Maplecrete Rd. and Highway 7 on Tuesday morning. Line painting at this intersection will take place overnight Monday. There will also be lane closures on Highway 7 at Keele and in the VMC area tomorrow, and at Edgeley/Interchange and Jane on Monday. Please see below for details on temporary lane reductions and traffic impacts:

NEW signal activation at Maplecrete

work dates*: Monday, Nov. 7 to Tuesday, Nov. 8
work hours*: 7pm Monday to 12 noon Tuesday

• Note that these signals are NEW.
• Crews will be painting the intersection Monday overnight, beginning at 7pm until the early hours of the following morning.
• Eastbound and westbound traffic on Hwy 7 will be reduced to one lane in each direction, and northbound and southbound traffic on Maplecrete will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
• Traffic signal activation and temporary traffic equipment removals will take place once line painting is complete, from approximately 8:00am until 12:00noon on Tuesday.
• Signals will be on flash and traffic will be controlled by paid-duty police officers during the activation and removals.

• Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.

lane closures at Keele and in the VMC

work dates*: Saturday, Nov. 5
work hours*: 7am–5pm

• To complete sidewalk work on Keele at Highway 7, one southbound lane will be closed a short distance north of the intersection.
• The Keele right-turn lane onto westbound Highway 7 will be closed separately.
• In addition, the right-turn lane from Highway 7 onto southbound Keele will be closed to accommodate this work.
• Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
• In addition, tomorrow overnight, westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane in the VMC area, between Jane Street and Edgeley.

Highway 7 lane closures at Interchange and Jane

work dates*: Monday, Nov. 7
work hours*: 9:30am to 3:30 pm

• For crews to complete concrete work, there will be a curb lane closure at the southwest corner of Highway 7 and Interchange Way.
• There will also be a lane closure at the northeast corner of Highway 7 & Edgeley for bus pad removal.
• Short lane closures will be required at the southwest corner of Jane and Highway 7 as well as one of the Jane southbound lanes north of the intersection.
• Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
