Hwy 7 side road paving is progressing

September 7, 2016

On Thursday night, crews will be paving side streets off Highway 7, including: Jane St., Keele St. and Bowes Rd./Baldwin Ave. Please see below for more details about this work:

side road paving

work dates*: Thursday, Sept.8 to Friday, Sept. 9
work hours*: 7pm–6am

  • Crews will be paving portions of Jane St. [north side only], Keele St. and Bowes Rd./Baldwin Ave., just north and south of Highway 7 .
  • As crews pave Baldwin, just south of Hwy 7, they will temporarily close a portion of the road for approximately 2 hours.
  • As crews pave Jane, Bowes and Keele, they will stage the work to complete one half of the road at a time, to allow traffic to travel through the intersection.
  • A reminder that paving is also happening tonight at Maplecrete Rd., Jane St. [south of Hwy 7] and Edgeley/Interchange, and the eastbound lanes of Hwy 7 west of Jane Street. Eastbound traffic will be reduced through the area.
  • Bus stops and sidewalk access may shift during this operation. Signs will be placed onsite to guide pedestrians.
  • There will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.

*Please note: As with other road construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other variables. We are committed to providing advance notice whenever possible.
