what you need to know:

work dates*: Thursday, Sept. 1 to Friday, Sept. 2
work hours: 7pm–6am

  • Tonight, crews will pave the following intersections on Highway 7: north side of Bowes Rd., north side of Keele St. and north side of Creditstone Rd. Each section will be closed during paving for approximately 3 hours as crews pave the area and allow for the asphalt to cool.
  • For the duration of each intersection’s paving activity, north and southbound traffic will not be able to travel through the intersection. Traffic will be detoured around the work zone.
  • During each intersection’s paving, westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane, in the rapidway. Eastbound will be unaffected, up until Bowes, where traffic will be one lane in each direction.
  • Paid duty police officers will be on site to help direct traffic.
  • Bus stops and sidewalk access may be shift during this operation. Signs will be placed onsite to guide pedestrians.
  • There will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.

*Please note: As with other road construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other variables. We are committed to providing advance notice whenever possible.
