Tonight, [weather permitting] Tuesday, August 30, crews will pave the following intersections on Highway 7: south side of Maplecrete, south side of Jane, and the centre of Edgeley/Interchange Way. A look ahead to Wednesday night’s paving, crews are planning to work at the following intersections on Highway 7: north side of Maplecrete, north side of Jane, and the north and south portions of Edgeley/Interchange Way. Each section will be closed for approximately 3 hours. Please see below for details:
night 1 paving
work dates*: Tuesday, Aug. 30 to Wednesday, Aug. 31
work hours: 7pm–6am
- Tonight, crews will pave the following intersections on Highway 7: south side of Maplecrete, south side of Jane, and the centre of Edgeley/Interchange Way. Each section will be closed during paving for approximately 3 hours as crews pave the area and allow for the asphalt to cool.
- For the duration of each intersection’s paving activity, north and southbound traffic will not be able to travel through the intersection. Traffic will be detoured around the work zone.
- During Maplecrete and Jane paving, eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane, in the rapidway. Westbound will be unaffected.
- During Edgeley paving, eastbound and westbound traffic on Highway 7 will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
- Paid duty police officers will be on site to help direct traffic.
- Bus stops and sidewalk access may be shift during this operation. Signs will be placed onsite to guide pedestrians.
- There will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.
- Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
night 2 paving
work dates*: Wednesday, Aug. 31 to Thursday, Sept. 1
work hours: 7pm–6am
- Crews will be paving the following intersections on Highway 7: north side of Maplecrete, north side of Jane, and the north and south portions of Edgeley/Interchange Way. Each section will be closed during paving for approximately 3 hours as crews pave the area and allow for the asphalt to cool.
