red asphalt paving

work dates*: Wednesday, Aug. 24 to Thursday, Aug. 25
work hours*: 7pm–6am

what you need to know:

  • Crews will begin paving the rapidway east and westbound from west of Jane to the CN Bridge.
  • Both intersections [see map] will experience a 3-hour interruption, one at a time, as crews pave through and allow for the asphalt to cool.
  • The Jane intersection is scheduled to be paved first, and then Creditstone.
  • This means that during this time there will be no north or southbound movement through the intersection.
  • Traffic wishing to head north or south through the intersection will be detoured to next intersection to make U-turn.
  • Paid duty police officers will be on site to help direct traffic.
  • Bus stops and sidewalk access may be shift during this operation. Signs will be placed onsite to guide pedestrians.
  • There will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.

what you need to know:

  • To complete utility work at the southwest corner of Jane and Highway 7, crews will require access to the northbound right turn lane at the Jane intersection tomorrow and Thursday during the day.
  • The bus stop will be moved south to maintain full access. Signs will be placed onsite to guide pedestrians.
  • There will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.

median work on Keele at Hwy 7

work dates*: Wednesday, Aug. 24 to Friday, Aug. 26
work hours*: 9:30am–4:30pm

what you need to know:

  • Crews will begin working on the median island on Keele St. north of Highway 7 tomorrow.
  • To perform this work, the northbound and southbound lanes closest to the median will be closed, as well as left-turn lanes. Vehicles will still be able to make left-turns at the intersection.
  • There will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.

*Please note: As with other road construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other variables. We are committed to providing advance notice whenever possible.
