paving and prep this weekend at Jane, Edgeley & Creditstone

Two segments of paving are planned for this weekend: the middle segment of the Jane Street and Highway 7 intersection, and then on Creditstone both north and south of Highway 7. Crews will also be working on Jane and Edgeley, just north of Hwy. 7. Please see below for details on temporary lane closures and traffic impacts:

what you need to know:

work dates*: Saturday, Aug. 6 to Monday, Aug. 8
work hours*: 6am–6am, 24 hours a day

stage 1

  • 6am Saturday to 7am Sunday: The middle section of the Jane Street intersection will be closed at Hwy 7.
  • Eastbound Hwy. 7 traffic will be reduced to one lane, from Edgeley Blvd. to east of Maplecrete Rd.
  • The eastbound left turn lane at Jane will be closed; however, U-turns are available at Creditstone Rd. Eastbound right turns to Jane St. will be open.
  • Westbound Hwy. 7 traffic will have two open lanes. The westbound left turn lane at Jane will be closed; however, U-turns are available at Edgeley/Interchange.
  • Detour signs will be posted and paid duty police officers will be on site.
  • On Saturday mid-afternoon, a portion of Edgeley will be grinded north of Highway 7. Edgeley will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area. Crews will return at a later date to pave this section.
  • If a bus stop or sidewalk is affected, directional signs will be onsite to guide pedestrians.
  • There will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.

stage 2

  • 6am Sunday to 6am Monday: Creditstone work begins [see Stage 2 map].
  • Creditstone will be closed north and south of Hwy. 7.
  • Westbound Hwy. 7 traffic will have two open lanes. Eastbound from Edgeley to Maplecrete will remain reduced to one lane.
  • Detour signs will be posted and paid duty police officers will be on site.
  • If a bus stop or sidewalk is affected, directional signs will be onsite to guide pedestrians.
  • There will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
