July 22, 2016

In addition to the paving planned at Highway 7 and Jane St. this weekend, crews will also be paving at the Millway Ave. and Highway 7 intersection [VMC area]. Also, starting on Sunday night, there will be short, rolling lane reductions in various locations overnight for storm sewer and manhole work. Please see below for details:

paving at Highway 7 & Millway Ave.

work dates*: Saturday, July 23 to Sunday, July 24
work hours*: 6am–6pm

  • Westbound Hwy. 7 traffic will be reduced to one lane, from Jane St. to Edgeley Blvd.

overnight lane reductions

work dates*: Sunday, July 24 to Thursday, Sept. 1
work hours*: 7pm–7am

  • Watch for short-term, rolling lane closures during overnight work on eastbound and westbound Highway 7, between Bowes Rd. and Jane St., for storm sewer and manhole work in preparation for top-layer paving.
  • There will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.

*Please note: As with other road construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other variables. We are committed to providing advance notice whenever possible.
