lane shift on Highway 7 from Keele to the CN Bridge

July 20, 2016

Starting tomorrow, westbound lanes on Highway 7 from Keele Street to the CN Bridge will be shifted away from the curb towards the median. There will be no additional lane reductions. Please see below for details on the traffic shift:

work dates*: Thursday, July 21 for approximately 4 weeks
work hours*: 7am Thursday, with shift in place 24hrs/day

  • Crews will be shifting westbound traffic away from the curb lane towards the median from Keele to the CN Bridge, to complete curb work, the bike box at Keele Street and paver stones.
  • The westbound curb-lane, east of Keele, will temporarily become a dedicated right-turn lane.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.

*Please note: As with other road construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other variables. We are committed to providing advance notice whenever possible.

Thank you for your patience as we transform Highway 7 West. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact your Community Liaisons.
