This week, crews are line painting Highway 7 at the intersections of Keele Street and Jane Street. Crews will also activate the new traffic signals at Jane. Please see below for details on temporary lane reductions and traffic impacts:

work dates*: Tuesday, June 7 to Wednesday, June 8
work hours: 7pm–7am, overnight

  • Crews will be painting the intersection overnight, beginning at 7pm until the early hours of the following morning.
  • Eastbound and westbound traffic on Hwy 7 will be reduced to one lane in each direction, and then northbound and southbound traffic on Keele will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
  • Once painting is complete in these areas, lanes will re-open.

There has been an update to the line painting and traffic signal activation at Hwy 7 and Jane. Crews will be painting traffic lines and activating the new traffic signals on the evening of Thursday, June 9.

work hours: 7pm Wednesday to 3:30pm Thursday

  • Crews will be painting the intersection overnight, beginning at 7pm until the early hours of the following morning.
  • Eastbound and westbound traffic on Hwy 7 will be reduced to one lane in each direction, and then northbound and southbound traffic on Jane will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
  • Traffic signal activation and temporary traffic equipment removals will take place once line painting is complete, from approximately 8:00am until 3:30pm.
  • Signals will be on flash and traffic will be controlled by paid-duty police officers during the activation and removals.
  • Please expect traffic delays through the area.

  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
