what you need to know

  • The intersection of Hillside Ave. and Highway 7 will be closed on Tuesday evening and into Wednesday morning, along with a short distance on the west and east side of the intersection, as crews work around the clock to complete grinding and paving activities.
  • Starting in the early hours of the morning on Wednesday, Hillside Ave. access will open up and crews will work on the north side of the eastbound Highway 7 lanes.
  • During this work, eastbound Highway 7 traffic will be reduced to one lane from just west of Keele St. to just east of Hillside Ave.
  • The Baldwin-Highway 7 intersection will be open.
  • Left-hand turning movements and U-turns will be available at Keele St., Creditstone Rd. and Baldwin/Bowes.
  • Detour signs will be posted and paid duty officers will be on site to help guide pedestrians and drivers.
  • There will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.

Please note: As with other road construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other variables. We are committed to providing advance notice whenever possible.
