work dates*: Friday, March 18 to Thursday, June 30
work hours: 24-hours/day

what you need to know:

  • Crews will be working on a number of construction activities in the median, including road work, storm sewer and expansion joint installation work in order to continue with the progress on the CN Bridge.
  • To accommodate these work activities, on Friday, March 18, crews will be line painting on Highway 7 westbound, west of Keele, as early as 9am to shift lanes to the north side of the bridge. This lane shift will be in place for approximately three months.
  • Westbound traffic on Highway 7 between Keele Street and Creditstone Road will reopen to two lanes, shifted to the north.
  • Following the completion of the line painting at Highway 7 and Keele, crews will then move to the Edgeley/Interchange & Highway 7 intersection to touch up traffic lines.
  • The line painting work will require short-term lane closures and will occur between 9:00am–3:30pm.
  • Due to the nature of this work, at times there will be noise and vibration around the work area.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.

We understand that construction can be disruptive, and we thank you in advance for your patience as we transform Highway 7. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact your Community Liaisons.
