lane closures on Highway 7 from Commerce to Jane

March 11, 2016

Starting next week, crews will be installing new traffic loops at the intersection of Highway 7 and Jane Street, and closing one eastbound lane between Commerce and Jane for storm sewer maintenance work. Please see below for details on the work and temporary lane closures:

work dates*: Monday, March 14 to Friday, March 25
work hours: 9:30am–3:30pm

  • Crews will be closing one eastbound lane on Highway 7 from Commerce to Jane for storm sewer maintenance work.
  • In addition, crews will be installing traffic loops around the Highway 7 and Jane intersection.
  • Traffic loops are sensors that detect vehicles queued at an intersection. They are used to adjust the intersection cycle times.
  • Crews will work on one lane at a time over the next few days. There will be temporary lane closures near each work area as the crews work their way around these intersections.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
  • Due to the nature of this work, there will be noise around the work area at times.

*Please note: As with other road construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather. We’ll provide advance notice whenever possible.
