lane closures this week at Highway 7 and Maplecrete

February 23, 2016

Tomorrow, crews will be installing new traffic loops at Highway 7 and Maplecrete Road. Please see below for details on the work and temporary lane closures in these locations:

MaplecreteMap

work dates*: Wednesday, Feb. 24 to Wednesday, March 2
work hours: 9:30am–3:30pm

what you need to know:

  • Crews will be installing traffic loops around the Highway 7 and Maplecrete intersection in each of the three locations, as identified on the map. Traffic loops are sensors that detect vehicles queued at an intersection. They are used to adjust the intersection cycle times to accommodate advanced left turn signals, for example, or prioritize a certain direction of traffic flow based on volume.
  • Crews will work on one Maplecrete lane at a time over the course of the next few days. There will be temporary lane closures near the work area as the crews work their way around this intersection.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
  • Due to the nature of this work, at times there will be noise and vibration around the work area.

We understand that construction can be disruptive, and we thank you in advance for your patience as we transform Highway 7. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact your Community Liaisons.
