lane closures for crane walk on Highway 7 at CN Bridge

Hello,

Tomorrow, crews will be “walking” a crane across Highway 7 at the CN Bridge for utility retaining wall work to begin. Please see below for details on a temporary lane closures and a subsequent lane reduction:

work dates*: Thursday, Feb. 11–Friday, Mar. 11
work hours: 7am–5:30pm

As the crane is walked from one side of Highway 7 to the other, crews will require a short-term closure of Highway 7, a few lanes at a time, at the CN Bridge. This operation should take approximately 10 minutes.
Once the crane is across the road, one eastbound lane will be reduced to 3 metres in width to ensure that the counter weight of the excavator will not interfere with traffic.
Traffic control staff will be on site as required.
Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
Due to the nature of this work, at times there will be noise and vibration around the work area.

*Work may be rescheduled due to weather.
