lane closures along Highway 7

January 22, 2016

Hello,

In preparation for future retaining wall work, crews will be installing a crane pad this coming Monday on the south side of the CN Macmillan Bridge. Permanent light poles will also be installed next week between Keele and Bowes. Please see below for further details on temporary lane reductions and what you can expect to see next:

work dates*: Monday, Jan. 25
work hours: 10am–3:30pm

  • Eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane across the CN MacMillan Bridge.
  • Once work has been completed, eastbound traffic will re-open to two lanes.
  • By mid-next week, a crane will be erected on the south side of the bridge for approximately two months while retaining wall work is completed.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination.
  • Due to the nature of this work, at times there will be noise and vibration around the work area.

work dates*: Monday, Jan. 25 to Wednesday, Jan. 27
work hours: 9:30am–3:30pm

  • Eastbound traffic for a short distance between Keele and Bowes will be reduced to one lane for installation of permanent light poles.
  • Once work has been completed, eastbound traffic will re-open to two lanes.

*Work may be rescheduled due to weather.
