Highway 7 lane closures and Highway 400 ramp work

December 11, 2015

Hello,

This weekend crews will be doing geotechnical foundation work on the ramps to Highway 400. In addition, there will be a lane closure between Keele and Bowes and in the VMC area. Please see details below:

work dates*: Saturday, December 12 to Thursday, December 17
work hours: 12 midnight–9am

  • As overnight crews will be doing geotechnical foundation work, each of the following ramps will require rolling closures at the Highway 400 interchange: the west-north ramp, the west south ramp and the east-south ramp.
  • Only one ramp will be closed at any one time.
  • Also, the north-east/west ramp will have a single lane closure, but the ramp will be open to traffic.

work dates*: Saturday, December 12 and possibly Monday, December 14
work hours: 7am–5pm on Saturday, and 9:30am–5pm on Monday

  • Traffic will be reduced to one lane eastbound from Keele to Bowes for site cleanup and earth pile removal.
  • Some driveways on the south side of Highway 7 may be temporarily disrupted. Flag persons will be onsite.
  • There will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.

work dates*: Saturday, December 12
work hours: 7:30am–3:30pm

  • Crews will be pouring concrete on Highway 7 in the VMC area on Highway.
  • Westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane during this work.

*Work may be rescheduled due to weather.

We understand that construction can be disruptive, and we thank you in advance for your patience as we transform Highway 7. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
